Maria Sarina

BA (Social Psychology/Social Research)

Maria is the founder and co-ordinator of the Friendship Centre and hopes to get as many health care professionals to volunteer their time to help those that cannot afford mainstream help.

Maria has over 10 years experience in mental health industry and has worked primarily as a volunteer to many organisations including Salvation Army Crisis Line. Maria’s qualifications focus on social psychology which is the study of the individual in their surroundings and the implementation of strategies to help individual on a personal and collective level. Her minor focused on social research and the study of the community and how people react and respond to station and circumstance.

Maria also completed English Literature at Sydney University and is currently completing her Masters in Counselling at Monash University.

Maria is happily married mum and bonus mum to 6 boys from age 4-20.
